Our members also have access to the UnitedHealthcare Options network which provides access to the broadest top tier national network in the US. If you use the UnitedHealthcare Options network providers, you will be eligible for simplified claims processing. For many claims, the provider will submit the claim, and no member claims forms will be required.

Our lowest cost plan is the Plan S with $100,000 benefit per illness or injury and a $500 annual deductible.  Prices start at $35 per month for our group plan.  Group plans require 5 or more members.

Our plan pricing is the same for J1, J2, F1, F2.  If the J1 or F1 already has insurance, the F2 or J2 can purchase alone.

Monthly and daily rates are available. So, if your stay in the US is 2 1/2 months you pay for 2 1/2 months of coverage not 3 months.

You can choose any of the benefit levels ($100,000, $250,000 or $500,000) and any of the deductible levels ($100 per illness, $0 annual, $250 annual, or $500 annual).  Click this link to learn more or see pricing on other options:

    Dear J’insurance.net,

My husband has a j2 visa and needs a health insurance. Patriot Exchange seems affordable and good, but we do not know if it covers thyrod blood tests. My husband has thyroid disorder, and his blood needs testing in every 3-6 months.

    Can you tell me:
    – if Patriot covers the thyroid blood tests
    – if yes, how much would it be approximately?

    Thanks you very much,
    Anita
PS.: I have a j1 visa and I have health insurance at XXXXXXX.

      Hi Anita,

The Patriot Exchange Plan will not cover a pre-existing condition for the first 12 months of coverage. That’s generally how insurance for F or J visa holders will work.

Our plan will meet all of the J visa insurance requirements, and your J-2 visa spouse is eligible to buy.

You mentioned another carrier in your message which I have blacked out here. Their plans will also exclude pre-existing conditions for 12 months.

Another note of caution on their plan – They require you to contact them BEFORE you see any doctor. If you don’t do that, they could reduce your benefits. Our plans don’t do that.

Let us know if you’d like other assistance.

      Thanks,

      J1insurance.net

    Hello,
Does this insurance cover primary care ? or it is only for emergency illness or accident ?. How do a get e list of medical providers in Philadelphia who accept this medical insurance.

    Thanks in advance.

    With regards
    Debdas

      Hi Debdas,

The plans cover primary care doctors. You can go to any doctor you choose and receive the same benefits.
The plans cover accident and illness, not wellness care. If you want to search for a network doctor near you, please visit this webpage Locate a provider in the US

      Thanks,
